Using a similar shape to the original Nutter, the Breaker is cast from stainless steel that is tool hardened for a super durable body. Instead of the 15mm wrench the tool is now equipped with a legitimate chain breaker.

As an added bonus the lever arm for the chain breaker doubles as a magnetic tool bit holder which can be removed from the chain tool and installed in two different positions to be used as a bit driver or an L-wrench. With an additional bit driver, the tool can also be used as a socket driver with mm sockets included with the Breaker Plus.

Like the Nutter the Breaker ships with a classy leather pouch with bit pockets made from recycled inner tubes. The pouches can be strapped to the backs of saddles, hung from top tubes, or you can use the straps to wrap around a spare tube and pump and have a nice little flat pack that stores in a jersey pocket.

Very cool, a lot of these multi tools are great until you actually have to use them. This one seems like it would be very usable. First impressions aren't everything, however, and after spending a little more time with The Nutter I found that while there's a lot to love about it's originality, it has been designed with a niche market in mind.

At one end The Nutter is a 15mm box end wrench and at the other end is a large nylon plastic tipped tyre lever. Neither of the bikes I was testing The Nutter with used a 15mm nut to secure their wheels Trek Remedy 8, Specialized Allez Sport , instead using the quick release standard which is commonplace on bikes made in the last decade or 4 decades Regarding the single large tyre lever, I loved how easy it made removing the large 2. Although when it came to tackling the skinny x25c tyres on the Allez, one tyre lever simply wasn't enough.

With the negative aspects of the Nutter out of the way, on to the positives.
